The main objectives of celebrating Chumpha festival are:

  1. Chumpha festival is a festival of thanksgiving for rich harvest, gathered in the granary.
  2. To offer the barn to varivara (almighty God).
  3. To give the responsibility of the house (barn) to the daughter-in-law.
